Trading Manager - Commodities

Strand Commodities DMCC is an internationally recognized trade firm. We are seeking an experienced international Commodities Trading Manager, who is also known as Senior Commodities Trader, to spread our commodity sales business all over the countries. We facilitate the trading of a diverse range of commodities, handling over 75,000 tons per month of each item including rice, spices, pulses, nuts, grains, sugar, and other products. Our network stretches across nearly 65 countries, creating a unique blend of global perspective and local expertise. Strand Commodities DMCC, based in Dubai, was founded with a highly focused vision of acting as an extended Trading arm for the clients we serve.Our mission is to be the most trusted resource in connecting users with the right commodities and trade partners, while our vision is to become the region’s leading provider of global commodities, known for competitive excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales growth
    • Identify new business opportunities including new markets, growth areas, trends, buyers, partnerships, products, and services
    • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and buyer relationships
    • Handle buyer inquiries promptly and effectively
    • Ensure the delivery of our products in accordance with buyer timelines
    • Reach out to buyer leads through cold calling, networking, and social media
    • Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule
 

Qualification Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of proven international commodity sales experience
  • Thorough knowledge of rice, grains, nuts, spices, seeds, pulses, sugar, and related commodities is required
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with buyers
 

Please note: This is a full time, Independent Contractor role and not a contractual position. We invite all those applicants that are looking for a long-term commitment and not a contract.
